Petrichor’s model enables agribusinesses to have end-to-end visibility across and through their business operations.
Petrichor was born in 2019 in Chicago, IL, and focuses on solving different agriculture challenges.
It handles a 100% cloud-based agribusiness model, and, in 2020, it launched its SupplySense™ platform.
Petrichor offers customers and supply chain services across continents.
The name Petrichor comes from the smell of rain after long times of dry weather.
This smell is quite familiar for everyone involved in agribusinesses, and the word in itself involves several natural processes.
Technology
Our team is combining React for the front and Ruby on Rails (RoR) for the back end.
For a project of this caliber, we’re also leveraging a SQL database with Azure services.
Strategy
We’re migrating to a Class Component structure and refactoring the project to improve its front end.
With React Hooks and Functional Components, we're furthering and updating practices.
To make it more scalable, we're restructuring some back-end controls while working on in-app shipment tracking.
