Developing and Design of a whole platform aligned with the brand's values.

Mission

Next Great Adventure (NGA) was created by the Acton School of Business. Its mission is to provide users with methods for improving their self-knowledge. Furthermore, it offers challenges and quests that help them to set long-term goals.

Impact

The platform has a clear understanding of the variables that contribute to achieving better self-knowledge. Also, it connects these variables with guided journeys, to achieve tangible long-term goals in rewarding ways for users.

Services

Acton contacted Capicua to develop the whole platform interface, in design and UI/UX, for both their website and app. Besides, it needed to align its core values, both in challenges and self-improvement searches.

Goal

NGA’s main goal is to help people achieve their personal and professional goals. Additionally, they aim to provide users a stronger answer to the question “What should I do next?”.

Story

The concept of NGA was born at Acton School of Business. With over 15 years of experience, Acton’s method relies on a never-give-up attitude for their student body. In addition, they teach through facing students with the real questions that entrepreneurs face everyday in businesses. Courses are given by successful entrepreneurs, who have achieved a total revenue of $5.5 billion on their projects or ventures.

With this approach, they point to provide skills to overcome real-life trials and triumphs to future leaders. In order to expand their vision, they created the NGA’s platform. Through it, they offer a six-weeks journey, with experiences, conversations, and assessments. All of this while getting feedback and advice from Acton’s mentors.

Challenges

Capicua’s main challenge was to create a clean and understandable way to show the platform’s process. To do so, we created a structure that starts with quests, which contain weeks. Within every week, there are challenges and each challenge has a line of steps.

On the other hand, we faced the dare of creating their Applets. These include different challenges with multimedia elements, like audios to listen, and writing or sending photos to the platform. To achieve this, we had to build the structure in a UX-focused form, encouraging users to keep their processes.

In sum, our team’s challenge was creating the perfect space for anyone looking to start a self-knowledge journey.

Worth Mentioning

We provided a user-friendly platform, which allows users to keep track of steps taken and further activities. As a result, Capicua created an embracing experience that eases the quests’ organization while motivating users.

Strategy

We handled the project with Figma, developing the process along with the company. This allowed us to create the clean look and feel the venture wanted for their product.

We took into account that each platform’s challenge is different. Furthermore, these require that users do different things, and fill specific info. Because of this, we created a line of templates that includes all types and categories. To do so, we aligned with NGA’s requests, reflecting the importance of the journey itself. Keeping this in mind, we leaned on a palette focused on black, blue, and yellow colors.
